Masterson’s Pub , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my latest trip at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of old alcohol and filthy restrooms suffused the entire establishment . With a smell of a mixture of human waste, old age and a sickly smell. The main bar, which should be the primary feature of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and trash that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The restroom was in even a truly awful state—overflowing , with a broken handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was human excrement .

From reading other reviews and speaking with locals , it seems that here the state of cleanliness (or lack thereof) at this so-called establishment is a recurring complaint.
